Membre fondateur du duo electro hip-hop REVERSE ENGINEERING, le producteur de musique électronique Alain Décrevel crée en 2014 un nouveau projet personnel sous l’appellation REFERENDUM.
Ses compositions mélangent sans retenue des sons organiques et électroniques au bruit des machines. Le tout est mis en mouvement par des rythmiques compactes ponctué de mélodies implacables. Cette fusion donne naissance à un univers à la fois lourd, mécanique et envoûtant.
Il fait ses premiers pas en 1997, explorant la voie musicale ouverte par les artistes des écuries Mo Wax, Ninja Tune et Warp.. En 2002, il fonde avec David Pieffet le groupe Reverse Engineering avec lequel il sort 2 albums et 2 EP sur le label français Jarring Effects. Ils collaborent ensemble avec des artistes de renommée internationale tels que Blu Rum 13, M-Sayyid (Antipop Consortium), Mike Ladd, B.Dolan ou encore Diyala. Accompagnés sur scène de Dj G-Bart, ils se produisent en live plus d’une centaine de fois, assurant notamment les premières parties d’Amon Tobin, Modeselektor, Dj Krush, DJ Vadim, Dj Food, Anti-Pop Consortium, The Herbaliser, Cinematic Orchestra, Luke Vibert, Mira Calix, Unkle, Mike Ladd, Puppettmastaz, Birdy Nam Nam…

A founding member of the electro- hip-hop duo REVERSE ENGINEERING, the electronic music producer Alain Decrevel created in 2014 a personal new project called REFERENDUM.
His compositions mix without hesitation organic and electronic sounds to the noise of machines. All is put in movement by compact rhythms marked by implacable melodies. This fusion gives birth to a universe at times heavy, mechanical and bewitching.
He took his first steps in 1997, exploring the musical way shown by artists from the stables of MO Wax, Ninja Tune and Warp. In 2002, he founded with David Pieffet the group Reverse Engineering, producing 2 albums and 2 extended play albums on the French label Jarring Effects. They collaborated with such internationally known artists as Blu Rum 13, M-Sayyid (Antipop Consortium), Mike Ladd, B. Dolan as well as Diyala. Accompanied on stage by DJ G-Bart, the performed more than a hundred times, assuring the opening performances for artists such as Amon Tobin, Modeselektor, Dj Krush, DJ Vadim, Dj Food, Anti-Pop Consortium, The Herbaliser, Cinematic Orchestra, Luke Vibert, Mira Calix, Unkle, Mike Ladd, Puppettmastaz, Birdy Nam Nam…

Seine Kompositionen mischen elektronische und organische Töne mit dem Lärm von Maschinen unablässig durch. Kompakte Rhythmik und unversöhnliche Melodien sind verführerisch in Gang gebracht. Diese Fusion ist zur Bildung von einer schweren, mechanischen und bezaubernden Welt geführt.
In 1997 fängt er schon an, den musikalischen Weg mit Artisten der wohl bekannten Label Mo Wax, Ninja Tune und Warp zu erkunden. Dann hat er mit David Pieffet die Gruppe Reverse Engineering im Jahr 2002 gegründet, was 2 Alben und 2 EP auf dem französischen Label Jarring Effects weiterverfolgt hat. Reverse Engineering hat insbesondere mit internationalen weltbekannten Artisten wie Blu Rum 13, M-Sayyid (Antipop Consortium), Mike Ladd, B.Dolan und noch Diyala zusammengearbeitet. Auf der Bühne mit Dj G-Bart haben sie mehr als 100 Live-Shows geboten, teilweise vor den Konzerten von Amon Tobin, Modeselektor, Dj Krush, DJ Vadim, Dj Food, Anti-Pop Consortium, The Herbaliser, Cinematic Orchestra, Luke Vibert, Mira Calix, Unkle,, Mike Ladd, Puppettmastaz, Birdy Nam Nam…
